New in the App Store: Colorword Thesaurus

A new iPhone App that lets you dive deeply into the world of color words
(firmenpresse) - With his bestselling books Hans-Peter Förster‘s 4-Color wording approach has already reached a multitude of fans. “So simple, yet so effective” is a typical reaction of many users. Förster is the author of over 40 books for the European market and has now taken his work to the next level by bringing it to the US market. Under the COLORWORD brand he has created books, ebooks, and an App.
The new COLORWORD Thesaurus App contains data from an over 550 page long lexicon with 15,000 key words and 120,000 matching synonymous words.
What makes this App unique among other Thesaurus Apps is its use of a color code. This color code indicates with which basic communication type a particular word resonates most with. This helps to find the right words for any of those four types.
Blue Information function: Numbers, data, facts – preferred by Rationals.
Green Guarantee function: Tradition, order, quality – valued by Conservatives.
Yellow Experience function: Vision, ideas, excited – favored by Intuitives.
Red Connection function: Emotions, heart, friendliness – loved by Feelers.
Two quizzes help to expand and deepen your vocabulary in a playful manner and increase your sensitivity for the effect of different words on different communication types.
Find the right word for all occasions and target groups fast – and find an abundance of synonyms. Variety signals competence and helps to mix up your communication.
The modern interface of the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad App has been developed by Marcus Roskosch – long-time App developer for iPhone and iPad.
Highlights:
When searching for words the App supports multi-tasking through a handy clipboard (starting with iOS 4). Terms in the clipboard are automatically searched for when the App is started – the term does not have to be added again.
Search results can be sent via emailed or text-message through a copy and paste function.
The full-text search function displays search results after entering the first few letters.
After the App has been installed no internet connection is necessary for it to function.

is the founder of Corporate Wording and the 4-Color approach. For the past 30 years he has helped companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland such as Audi, Austrian Postal Service and Basler Insurance with his approach. He is the author of over 40 books, among them the bestseller “Texten wie ein Profi” (Communication like a Professional), which has just been published in its 12th edition in Germany by the established German business book publisher Frankfurter Allgemeine (FAZ).
He is the chairholder for Corporate Wording at the ZfU International Business School, Switzerland, and lecturer at the HAW University Amberg-Weiden, Germany. He received the ZfU Gold Teaching Award for outstanding teaching achievements.
