Scientific Drilling International Names Jayme Sperring as Director, Global Sales and Marketing
Sperring Brings Invaluable Industry Experience to Scientific Drilling
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 04/16/12 -- announces that Jayme Sperring has been named Director, Global Sales and Marketing. Sperring will manage Scientific Drilling's global and sales team and marketing department from Corporate Headquarters in Houston, TX.
Scientific Drilling's Chief Executive Officer Bill Wade said, "We are very pleased to have added Jayme's capabilities to further our service to the wellbore placement industry. His recent experience managing a dynamic global sales team will be a valuable addition to our team."
As Director of Global Sales and Marketing, Sperring will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities both internal and external, including strategic account management, sales effectiveness, global marketing and development and implementation of business strategy.
Sperring joins Scientific Drilling from National Oilwell Varco (NOV), a manufacturer of drilling, fishing and completion downhole technology serving the upstream oil and gas industry. Sperring joined the organization in 2005 and has held various leadership positions within the downhole division of NOV since 2007.
Sperring holds degrees in Business Management and Economics from Rice University in Houston, TX, from where Sperring was recruited to play professional baseball with the Baltimore Orioles organization for several years prior to starting his career with NOV. He is active in the Houston Oil and Gas and philanthropic communities serving organizations such as SPE, PESA, IADD as well as Board of Director responsibilities within non-profit organizations in Texas.
