Vihar has been located in Smithers for the past 40 years and has an immense amount of experience understanding the challenges and requirements to undertake a project such as this.
The Initial Release of 16 single family lots on the mountain will be fully serviced and delivered in 2012. Set 800 meters above the town of Smithers, this development has the core characteristics of Telluride, Colorado and Lech, Austria, with true ski in and ski out access and unparalleled exhilarating views. With the experience and resources that Harvey and Greg Burns bring to this project, the Bulkley Valley will enter into a new and exciting phase of growth of the resort on Hudson Bay Mountain.
HBME Development Management Inc., the developer, has engaged Dale Bellavance of Bell Group International to work directly with the Vihar team and the other consultants and resources necessary for this project in order to ensure that all aspects of the project come together in a timely manner. Dale and Bell Group International have over 30 years of experience in land acquisitions, sub-division development and project management throughout many regions of Canada, U.S. and Mexico.
When complete each lot will be delivered to the lot owner with public road access, connections to the lot line for domestic water, hydro and a discharge line for a step sewage system, and be qualified for a building permit in the Regional District Bulkley Valley Nechako. The unique zoning on these lots permit construction of a single family home with or without a suite and the option for a second residence if there is no suite in the main home. All dwellings are permitted for year round, full time residential use and for short term or long term rental.
