Galullo Brings Demonstrated Clinical and Business Expertise to New Regional Position
(firmenpresse) - IRVING, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 04/05/12 -- VHA Inc., the national health care network, has appointed Kathy Ann Galullo, RN, BSBA, MBA, as its Northeast District vice president. Galullo will report to Steve Berling, vice president of National Sales at VHA. Prior to her new role, she was the executive director of VHA's Northeast Purchasing Coalition.
Galullo will lead the 9-member Northeast District sales team and collaborate with members of VHA's Empire-Metro and New England regions that comprise the Northeast District. She will also work closely with Leslie Barden, executive officer of VHA's Empire-Metro Region, and with Paul Hess, executive officer of VHA's New England region, in the transition from the Northeast Purchasing Coalition (NPC), LLC.

Before joining VHA in 1999, Galullo was a territory manager/account manager in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts for Hill-Rom Inc., a leading global medical supply company. She also consulted with health care systems throughout the Northeast on a variety of critical intervention engagements.
Earlier, as nurse manager/assistant nurse manager at The Waterbury Hospital, in Waterbury, Conn., Galullo led a 70-person RN staff and was responsible for staffing the hospital's 24-bed Surgical Trauma ICU and its 24-bed PICU. She also developed policies and procedure manuals to meet Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations requirements.
Galullo has held public office and was active in local, state, and national politics. She completed courses towards her MS in nursing at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Conn. Galullo also earned her BSBA and MBA at Post University, Waterbury, Conn., and her RN at Meriden Wallingford Hospital School of Nursing, affiliated with New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University and Temple University, Hartford, Conn.
