CFIA/Allergy Alert: Undeclared Milk in Salt Sauce Noodle Product Imported From Japan

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Uncle T Food Ltd. are warning people with allergies to milk not to consume the Salt Sauce Noodle product described below. The affected product contains milk which is not declared on the label.
The affect product, Salt Sauce Noodle, is sold in 500 g (5x100 g) packages bearing UPC 4 901734 000280 and the brand "Sanyo S.Itiban" in Japanese characters only. All lots are affected.
This product has been distributed in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk.
The importer, Uncle T Food Ltd., Richmond, BC is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
