First Utility Links Up With Opower to Help UK Households Save Money on Gas and Electricity
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 04/04/12 -- In 2011 First Utility () announced its partnership with Opower, the leading US efficiency and smart grid software company, to create a programme which could reduce UK households' energy bills by as much as GBP 400 million each year.
Using Opower's software will translate its customers' smart meter data into a range of brand new tools to help households discover new ways to save energy and money alike. Customers will be engaged via mailed reports, web portal, email and text messages, as well as via social media. The multi-channel approach will allow First Utility to reach out to all demographic segments and drive a high level of customer engagement - and consequently energy savings.
The programme will be the first of its kind in the UK.
