Tilera's design team competed against an array of finalists including Intel, Micron, Kontron, Philips Lumileds and SuVolta, Inc. to take home the award.

The Design Team of the Year award goes to a group of innovators whose collaborative efforts made a significant contribution to the furtherance of technology and whose project management abilities were creative, efficient and inspiring. In January, Tilera announced the availability of the world's highest performance per-watt 64-bit with the sampling of the first two members of its TILE-Gx™ family: the TILE-Gx16™ and the TILE-Gx36™. The devices contain 16 and 36 full featured 64-bit cores, respectively, providing never-before-seen performance and performance-per-watt.
