The appraisal was performed by Norausky Process Solutions, Inc., an authorized Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Partner Company.
CMMI is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. An appraisal at Maturity Level 2 indicates Cognosante is performing at the "managed" level, which means that projects have been ensured and processes are planned and executed in accordance with policy. In addition, projects undertaken by Cognosante employ skilled people who have adequate resources to produce controlled outputs and involve relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, Cognosante ensures that projects are monitored, controlled and reviewed and are evaluated for adherence to process descriptions.
