EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson called the limits a "common-sense step to reduce pollution" but others slammed the proposed regulations for potentially limiting electricity production.
The American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity said the move will drive up energy prices and hurt job creation by discouraging use of U.S. coal resources that provide affordable electricity.
