Sage Cares Corporate Responsibility Program Focuses on Industry, People, Community, and Environment
(firmenpresse) - IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/28/12 -- Sage North America today announced a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative supporting the organization. From April 2-6, Sage employees across the U.S. and Canada will collect gently used or new women's business clothing; accessories, including handbags, belts, and jewelry; unused gift cards; and cash donations for the Dress for Success Suiting Program.
"How we present ourselves, including what we wear, is an important component for a successful interview," said Dona Duncan, a Sage employee and former Dress for Success volunteer. "These clothing, shoe, and accessory donations can mean the difference between women feeling they have no chance being hired to feeling like they could own the world."
Sage is also serving as the official sponsor of , a service project for Dress for Success at the Association of Fundraising Professionals' (AFP's) International Conference on Fundraising, being held next week in Vancouver, B.C.
The Dress for Success collection drive is part of the Sage corporate responsibility program in North America, Sage Cares. But, CSR is not new to Sage. "Good corporate citizenship has always been important to our people, and Sage Cares provides a simple framework to guide our efforts," said Pascal Houillon, CEO of Sage North America. "It also gives us an important opportunity to distinguish Sage as not only a provider of technology solutions to help businesses and nonprofits, but also a helping hand to address some of society's most pressing issues. We believe Sage and our people can best make a difference through education support, the fostering of entrepreneurs, and local volunteerism."
