Swinerton Starts Construction at High Desert Health System Multi Service Ambulatory Care Center
(firmenpresse) - IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/26/12 -- is proud to announce that following a celebratory ground breaking on January 30th construction is well underway on the High Desert Multi Service Ambulatory Care Center (MACC) complex. The over excavation for the building foundations and underground utilities were recently completed, with the team ready to install the site utility lines and preparing for pouring the footings.
Swinerton is providing design-build services for the new two-story ambulatory care facility with central plant and separate one-story building, totaling approximately 142,000 square feet, and all related site and infrastructure improvements. Working closely with Architect , the Swinerton lead team will deliver this new $98-million, OSHPD-3 compliant project to the County of Los Angeles High Desert Health System the summer of 2014.
The complex will consist of a new ambulatory care facility to house a large ambulatory surgical center, adult and pediatric primary care clinics, urgent care clinic, a women's clinic, medical and surgical subspecialty clinics, and ancillary diagnostic and treatment services. A one-story facility will house administrative and support services. Both facilities minimize heat gain and optimize glare-free natural lighting of occupied spaces.
The project includes photovoltaic panels and wind turbines to generate power and once complete will be seeking LEED® Gold certification from the USGBC.
