East Midlands Trains Continues Drive to Improve Customer Communication
- First 'Meet the Senior Team' Session to Take Place at Derby on 26 March - Designed to Encourage Feedback from Passengers - Follows on from Successful Launch of 'Tweet the Senior Team'
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 03/23/12 -- Derby-based train operator has announced that it will be holding its first 'Meet the Senior Team' session at station on Monday 26 March. During the session, which will take place from 16.30 to 18.00, representatives from East Midlands Trains' executive team will be available to listen to any feedback or help with questions from passengers.
This marks the latest initiative in East Midlands Trains' drive to improve communication with passengers and follows on from the company's first successful 'Tweet the Senior Team', which took place in February.
David Horne, Managing Director for East Midlands Trains, who will be leading the first 'Meet the Senior Team' session, said: "We actively encourage our passengers to provide us with feedback on their service, as it helps to build on the work we are doing to drive up the quality of rail travel.
"By being available at the station at one of the busiest times, we will be on hand to help our staff answer any questions from passengers and also get first-hand experience on what customers think of our services.
"With over three million passengers using Derby station every year, it is one of the busiest stations on our route, and one that has seen significant improvement over the last year. We will be keen to hear what passengers think of these improvements and to the investment we are making to improve our train fleet."
East Midlands Trains will be rolling out the programme of 'Meet the Senior Team' events to take place at major stations throughout the year, and will also be continuing with its successful 'Tweet the Senior Team' initiative.
East Midlands Trains has been the UK's most punctual long distance train operator for over three years. Over GBP 70 million is currently being invested to improve services for passengers. This investment programme includes refurbishing every single train in the fleet, delivering better station facilities, creating more car parking spaces, providing 200 extra secure cycle spaces and installing new ticket machines.
