These events include exceptional speakers, networking opportunities and its annual awards event.
On March 22, 2012 Boris Feldman from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati will discuss how to protect yourself and your company. He'll cover what is the future of Investor Relations in the light of Reg FD, new regulations and the criminal prosecutions that have occurred against analysts and experts for obtaining non-public information from companies. Boris has been described by his peers as "one of the most dynamic legal minds, that defines the concept 'out of the box' thinking, creating novel approaches to complex legal quandaries, often in the face of more traditional legal strategies" and "his thoughts and methods put him many steps ahead of his adversaries. Boris Feldman specializes in securities litigation and counseling. He has represented companies and their officers in more than 185 lawsuits throughout the United States (including a dozen financial restatement cases) and includes such companies as Google, Facebook and Genentech. He also has advised audit committees and boards of directors in internal investigations and handled SEC-enforcement proceedings around the country. Boris has served as a lawyer-representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference, a member of the Ninth Circuit's Lawyer Representative Coordinating Committee, and co-chair of the lawyer representatives to the Northern District of California. Boris also was a member of the six-person advisory committee established by the United States District Court for the Northern District of California to propose modifications of the Local Rules in light of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995.

The Orange County Chapter of NIRI was established in 1990 and includes corporate officers and investor relations consultants responsible for communication among corporate management, shareholders, securities analysts and other financial community constituents.
