Biocompare Taps Industry Veteran Joan Boyce for Publisher

In this new position, Boyce will be responsible for managing the Biocompare sales and content teams to drive new product development and revenue growth.

Boyce has over 23 years of experience in publishing, sales, management, editorial leadership and content innovation. Most recently, Boyce served as executive director and group publisher of Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News (GEN) where she was responsible for all revenue streams and strategic sales growth initiatives. Prior to this, Boyce worked for Reed Business Information, responsible for three life science trade magazines: Drug Discovery & Development, Genomics & Proteomics and Bioscience Technology. Boyce also co-founded and served as Vice President at BioSupplyNet, Inc., a SciQuest company.
Boyce graduated with a bachelor's degree in life science from Bucknell University and started her career working at the bench as a lab manager for Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and North Shore University Hospital Research Center. Her science background will be instrumental in furthering Biocompare's goal to empower life scientists with a digital marketplace that enhances their productivity.
