SCC Wins 2012 ROOPH Award
Shaw Conference Centre awarded for its outstanding contribution
(firmenpresse) - EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/08/12 -- Recognized for its outstanding contribution to ending homelessness in Edmonton, the (SCC) was awarded the - Partnerships for Success.
A founding partner of Homeless Connect - the SCC works diligently each year with municipal government, other community agencies, and hundreds of volunteers to address homelessness in .
Hosting two Homeless Connect events each year the SCC contributes over $83,000 annually in facility services, including in-house event services contributions of over $20,000. Thousands of guests are fed at through the SCC kitchen and for many of the centre's staff this is one way they can give back to their community.
