Integration Point Customers Experience Smooth Transition of QP/WP to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
(firmenpresse) - CHARLOTTE, NC -- (Marketwire) -- 03/07/12 -- After months of development and testing, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) successfully began the transition of electronic In-Bond filing (also known as QP/WP) to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). Integration Point, a provider of global trade management and compliance solutions, is the only software provider to certify QP/WP in the ACE environment and facilitate the successful filing of all customer In-Bond transactions.
QP/WP allows importers to file required In-Bond data directly to CBP and receive status messages electronically. The In-Bond paper document, called the CBP Form 7512, is used to move goods In-Bond throughout the United States. Before this transition occurred, importers could only file these electronic submissions of the In-Bond document through the Automated Manifest System (AMS) or the Automated Broker Interface (ABI). With the planned decommission of AMS as functionality is transitioned to ACE, Integration Point felt it was important to lead the way and facilitate a smooth transition of QP/WP to ACE. The utilization of Integration Point QP/WP and other solutions within the Integration Point Global Trade Management platform allows companies to improve compliance, access global regulatory information from 140+ countries, and connect with government agencies.
