New cloud service enables rich set of functionality for web and mobile developers
(PresseBox) - BioID GmbH, a provider of biometric recognition and identity management for online and mobile applications, announced today the release of BioID Web Services (BWS) ? a cloud-based biometric web service allowing developers of web, cloud and mobile applications to integrate advanced biometric functionality into their applications with simple APIs.
Using BWS, developers can easily add a variety of functionality, from demanding security applications such as face and/or voice authentication with liveness detection, online fraud prevention, ticketless check-in and highly precise image quality checks, to fun applications like celebrity matching, model agency image searching and photo tagging. As a cloud computing service it dynamically scales up to any performance and storage requirements. Implementation requires no developer or client software installation and no specialized expertise in biometrics or image processing. The service is available with a pay-per-use licensing model, with a limited free transaction volume available to qualified developers for development and test purposes.
