Strong February Results for Volkswagen Canada
Maintains Record Pace
(firmenpresse) - AJAX, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/02/12 -- reported a total of 3,539 new vehicles sold by its 135 Canadian dealers during the month of February, making it the most successful ever. Year-to-date, 2012 has also produced the best results in the company's 60 year history in Canada.
"Our strong product lineup and a great group of Dealers across the country have struck a chord with the Canadian consumer," stated John White, President and CEO of Volkswagen Group Canada.
Leading the way were sales of the redesigned , which posted a total of 1,543 units. Significant deliveries of the new (536), (826) and (353) compact sport utility were also reported.
Later this month, Volkswagen will introduce the 256 horsepower, all-wheel drive . The car is the ultimate expression of the Golf family, and will be available in limited numbers.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of Volkswagen Canada. Founded in September of 1952, the company has been a proud part of the Canadian automotive landscape from its most humble beginnings, and is looking forward to the next chapter in its history.
