Small Business Software Company Crowdsources Windows 8 Logo
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/02/12 -- Archon Systems Inc., creators of inFlow Inventory, held a "just for fun" contest to see if the community could design a Windows 8 logo superior to the official one as seen on the recently released Windows 8 beta.
The official Windows 8 logo was met with controversy with heavy opinions weighing in on both sides of the spectrum.
"Our company culture at Archon Systems Inc. is very much design centric. That being said, when Microsoft announced a radically new logo for Windows 8, everyone in the office had a passionate opinion about it. Turns out we were not alone so we thought it would be a good idea to give people a chance to put their opinions into actions," said Matthew Kostanecki, Head of Marketing for Archon Systems.
The contest received over 700 entries in less than a week. A public vote is taking place at and is open until Monday March 5th 2012 at 11:59 PM. The winner of the contest will receive $295 and will be announced on Tuesday March 6th 2012 in a follow up post.
