Top destinations for passengers leaving British airports are revealed to be Spain followed by the USA. Germany comes has a surprise third, ahead of countries that might be expected to be more popular such as Italy and France. For delays, Thomas Cook Airlines Ltd tops the lists with planes delayed 22 minutes on average. British Airways and Ryanair, by comparison, are both closer to 11 minutes. It is useful to remember that holiday insurance can cover significant delays and cancellations as well as belongings and medical emergencies.
