Brampton Gets a Taste of the Kerala

The new restaurant, , will be inaugurated by the , Her Worship , on 1 March 2012 at 3 pm . It is located at , near City Hall.
The spacious new establishment will seat more than 120 people (including 35 in an outdoor patio) and will introduce diners in Brampton to the exquisite food of Kerala that made the original such a hit with Torontonians.
Some signature dishes that are bound to be a hit with customers in Brampton are Shrimp Malabari in which rich flavors of coconut mingle with plump, luscious shrimp, fragrant Malabar Mutton Stew that is best paired with feathery light appams (Hoppers), Malabar Chicken marinated in sixteen exotic spices, astonishingly tasty Fish Molee in which seared kingfish is poached in coconut milk, a knockout Mutton Biriyani, and the .
For vegetarians, there's a great Lentil Curry (lentils cooked with onion and tomato and finished with cumin), Channa Masala (chick peas tossed in an onion, tomato and tamarind sauce), Butter Paneer, cooked with a special piquancy, and an assortment of delicately spiced rice preparations - Peas Pulao (steamed basmati rice with peas), Jeera Pulao (cumin flavoured buttered rice) and the well-known Vegetable Pulao.
A bar will be added to Maroli Brampton a few months after its grand opening. Bramptonians will be glad to know that home delivery will commence in the near future. Stay tuned for the Kerala Food Festival 2012.
