The CRA is taking steps to make it easier for Canadians to meet their tax obligations by including new online features and providing information on new tax credits.
The CRA offers a number of electronic services, including Quick Access, NETFILE, direct deposit, and My Account, to help Canadians save time. With the CRA's electronic services for individuals, Canadians can file, pay, view T4 slips, get information about direct deposit, and monitor personal information online. Electronic services are quick, easy, and secure, with all the information right at your fingertips.

Canadians have until midnight on April 30, 2012 to file their 2011 income tax and benefit return and to pay any balance owing. If an individual or their spouse or common-law partner is self-employed, they have until midnight on June 15, 2012, to file their 2011 return. Any balance owing must be paid by April 30, 2012.
