lesswire presents new solution "Home Wave Control" at the embedded world
Intelligent gateway forms central radio interface in the intelligent home
(PresseBox) - With Home Wave Control, Berlin-based lesswire AG, a provider of embedded radio applications, is presenting an intelligent gateway for wireless networking in buildings at this year's embedded world. The openly configured and upgradeable system forms a central interface for radio-controlled solutions from the fields of Home Automation and Smart Energy. The international trade fair for the embedded industry will be held from 28 February to 1 March 2012 at the trade fair grounds of Messe Nürnberg (Nuremberg Trade Fairs); lesswire will be exhibiting in Hall 4, Stand 137a.
The focus of lesswire is on the interoperability of different transmission formats and in the pooling of the transmissions in a single control system, for instance, for intelligent energy management, optimisation of heating costs, statement of consumption, building management or home automation. As a central gateway, the Home Wave Control solution combines diverse wireless standards such as WLAN, Bluetooth, Wireless M-Bus and 868 MHz and offers manufacturers of solutions from the field of Smart Energy or Home Automation a suitable interface in the building. The lesswire product is equipped with basic operational functions, for instance, for the statement of consumption. The open system also permits easy upgrades to include new applications and access to diverse devices - irrespective of the wireless standard that they use. lesswire developed the system for the control of the networked home in collaboration with other companies of the PRETTL Group: the companies REFUsol, Bernal and Kirsch.
The lesswire's trade fair presence also focuses on the embedded wireless solutions of the XBear series. With MBear, lesswire is showcasing at the trade fair a new module for combined communication via wireless M-bus and 868 MHz. With the Wi2U car hotspot, which was presented last year, lesswire also has a solution for wireless applications in the automotive industry in its portfolio.
