MegaFood Brings Dr. Andrew Weil's "Spontaneous Happiness" to Natural Products Expo West
(firmenpresse) - DERRY, NH -- (Marketwire) -- 02/24/12 -- Premium whole food dietary supplement brand, MegaFood, will host Dr. Andrew Weil at Natural Products Expo West with exclusive events surrounding the release of his New York Times bestseller, "Spontaneous Happiness."
Two events open to conference attendees include a book signing on Fri., March 9, at the MegaFood booth #1204, and a seminar on Sat., March 10, at the Anaheim Marriot.
"Spontaneous Happiness" focuses on achieving emotional wellness through lifestyle, behavioral and dietary changes based on an array of ancient and modern therapies. Through the book, Weil shows how to create conditions that allow the body's innate healing mechanisms to manifest spontaneously.
"For several years, the No. 1 search term on DrWeil.com has been 'depression,' and while we discuss emotional health on our site, I felt personally compelled to dive deeper into the condition," says Weil, who struggled with mild to moderate depression for much of his adult life. The number of people being diagnosed and treated for depression is growing. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 11 percent of Americans over the age of 12 are taking anti-depressant medications; that's a 400 percent increase over the past 20 years.
