Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center Congratulates the Province of Ontario's All-Party Support of Jewish Heritage Month
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/23/12 -- Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) commends the Ontario Legislature for the quick passage of the second and third reading of Bill 17 to designate the month of May as Jewish Heritage Month.
The tri-partisan initiative, spearheaded by Liberal MPP Mike Colle with support from Conservative MPP Peter Shurman and NDP Cheri DiNovo, is designed to highlight the contributions of the Jewish community to the Province of Ontario.
"Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies is honoured to have been mentioned in the Ontario Legislature today by a number of the many MPPs who spoke in support of this bill," said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo.
