Media Advisory: Governor General to Celebrate Canada's Top Natural Sciences and Engineering Researchers
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/23/12 -- His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will present a series of Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) awards during a ceremony at Rideau Hall, on Monday, February 27, 2012, at 5:30 p.m.
On this occasion, His Excellency will deliver a speech on the importance of learning and innovation, and will recognize the work of outstanding and highly promising scientists and engineers who are part of Canada's academic research community.
"The ingenuity of the 2012 NSERC Awards recipients benefits humanity in all sorts of ways," said the Governor General. "They are all building a better world, based on a shared commitment to science and reason. I congratulate them and encourage them to continue working together, as advocates for science, and inspiring the next generation."
