(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/22/12 -- Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) -- , Deloitte Consulting will present the findings of an in-depth research study that examines the operational, financial, and risk factors associated with the use of single-vendor and multivendor approaches in different types of complex networks.
The Deloitte study will be presented in an Internet TV broadcast hosted by Cisco, featuring executives from the two companies who will summarize the report's findings. The results of the survey are based on detailed interviews with customers currently using Cisco products alongside products from other vendors in their networks, and is intended to help IT decision makers evaluate the potential impact of different networking vendor strategies.
The broadcast will also feature customers who participated in the survey, as they describe the network architectural approaches in their organization as well as their own experiences with single-vendor versus multivendor strategies. These customers will also analyze the total cost of ownership (TCO) benefits of single-vendor and multivendor networks, and whether the short-term savings also translate into long-term cost benefits.
The Internet TV broadcast will present:

How enterprises measure the business impact of the network while managing risk.
How to quantify the potential benefits of different architectural approaches and receive valuable guidance in managing and minimizing risk in today's business-critical networking environment.
