Swinton Commercial Advises SMEs to Make Sure They have the Right Cover

The new figures, released by a leading business provider, revealed that a staggering 29% of SMEs do not know whether they have the right commercial insurance policy to protect their business.
Out of the 500 SMEs surveyed, one in 10 of those who employ staff admitted they had no insurance. The research also showed that the number of businesses without insurance has risen from 8% to 20% since June last year.
Interestingly, it was SMEs in the manufacturing sector who were most likely to be underinsured (34%), closely followed by tradesmen (28%), and the catering sector (17%).
In light of the findings, Swinton Commercial is urging SMEs to check their policies to ensure that they are complying with legal requirements and that they are covered for all eventualities.
