Panama's Heliflight Maintenance Center is recognized for its first year of operations as a Eurocopter-certified maintenance facility

(PresseBox) - .2012 - Heliflight Maintenance Center's first year of operations as a Eurocopter-certified maintenance operation in Panama was marked today during a ceremony held at the Heli-Expo 2012 exhibition in Dallas, Texas.
Located at Albrook Airport on the Panama Canal Zone, Heliflight Maintenance Center was the first such facility certified in Central America by the Eurocopter de Mexico subsidiary of Eurocopter.
"At Eurocopter, we put the priority on ensuring the best maintenance resources are available for operators in their local regions, and Heliflight Maintenance Center has become an important element of our network and fleet safety reinforcement in Central America," said Serge Durand, the CEO of Eurocopter de Mexico.
The Heliflight Maintenance Center is specialized in the AS350 B3 and EC120-series helicopters, which are Eurocopter's two product line members that represent the majority of rotary-wing aircraft fleets in Central America - performing executive transport, trade and other missions.
"We appreciate today's recognition by Eurocopter, and our team is dedicated to providing the best support for its helicopters," added Fotys Lymberopulos, the CEO of Heliflight Panama.

Established in 1992, the Franco-German-Spanish Eurocopter Group is a division of EADS, a world leader in aerospace and defense-related services.
