The Victoria Advocate Newspaper Engages ACI as Distribution Partner
ACI, a National Newspaper Distribution Service, Partners With Historic Texas Media Company
(firmenpresse) - LONG BEACH, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/13/12 -- The newspaper has entered into an agreement with ACI to provide distribution services, it was announced by Stephen McHaney and Dan Easton, co-publishers of The Victoria Advocate.
Under the terms of this agreement, will manage several areas of distribution, including subscriber home delivery, niche publication delivery, transportation and some single-copy delivery for The Victoria Advocate.
"Obviously, we are excited to partner with a company with such a strong national reputation for distribution efficiency as ACI," said Stephen McHaney. "We looked at several options. Working with ACI was clearly the best strategy for the long-term benefit of our business and our community," he added.
"With ACI helping us on distribution, we can shift our focus toward more strategically directed efforts, such as creating great content for our readers and growing our brand in the South Texas market," said Dan Easton, co-publisher.
The change will be seamless to readers, said McHaney, adding that readers will continue to interact with the company's customer-service personnel for subscriptions and other needs.
"This is the next step in our growth path as we continue to leverage our multi-channel strategy," said Keith Somers, president of ACI. "The Victoria Advocate's decision to outsource their distribution to us reflects their progressive, forward-looking direction. We're excited to be in Texas."
The Victoria Advocate, at 165 years old, is Texas' second oldest newspaper. An independent regional media company, it is the area's premier source for information and advertising, both digitally and in print.
