Pentaho's Kettle Data Integration Product Cited for 'Richest Functionality and Most Extensive Integration With Open Source Apache Hadoop'
(firmenpresse) - ORLANDO, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 02/08/12 -- Delivering the , Pentaho Corporation today announced that Pentaho's product has earned recognition from Forrester Research Inc., a leading independent research firm, as a strong performer in , Q1 2012 (February 2012).

Forrester conducted evaluations and interviewed 13 solution provider companies for this first annual Enterprise Hadoop Solutions Report. The firm evaluated vendors against 15 criteria, which they grouped into three high-level buckets of current offering, strategy and market presence.
The Forrester report continues: "Pentaho, an established open source data analytics solution vendor calls Hadoop-based extract, transform, and load (ETL) jobs from its Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) 4.2 product. It has the richest functionality and most extensive integration with open source Apache Hadoop among the data integration vendors that have added Hadoop functionality to their products over the past year. It also provides certified integration with distributions from Amazon, Cloudera, and EMC Greenplum."
