Minister Toews Statement on a Removal From "Wanted by the CBSA" List
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/06/12 -- The Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety, issued the following statement after the Canada Border Services Agency today announced the removal of Christa Kozonguizi, one of 30 individuals added to the "Wanted by the CBSA" list in January.
"After turning herself in to CBSA authorities last month, this individual has been removed from Canada for inadmissibility on security grounds. She, and others who are here in Canada illegally, have of their own volition, been turning themselves in to the authorities. I'm pleased to see these individuals have been located with the help of the "Wanted" list.
There is no place for those who are here illegally, and who threaten the safety of our communities and citizens. Our Government is committed to removing individuals who are inadmissible, and who have abused those rights and freedoms accorded to law-abiding residents of this country."
