Poggled Brings D.C. Crenshaw Into the Mix as Local Nightlife Wingman
(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 02/02/12 -- Poggled, Inc., a Lightbank-funded startup in the nightlife space, has joined forces with Chicago restaurant and nightlife impresario D.C. Crenshaw. Starting today, Crenshaw will assist in the curation and promotion of exclusive restaurant and bar experiences highlighting premier venues in the Chicago area.
Crenshaw is the creator, executive producer and host of the Emmy-nominated show Game Time Dine, in which he merges fine dining with professional athletes. He is also the host of the online show Chicago Unplugged on Watch312.com, and the founder and president of Fête Select TV, an 11-year old market event and media production company that showcases the newest and best restaurants in Chicago, via progressive dining events.
"Having D.C. aboard is like planning a great night out with Chicago's best wingman," said Poggled CEO and co-founder Joe Matthews. "His credibility and expertise within the Chicago nightlife scene is an outstanding asset to Poggled's growing business."
"Poggled creates unique, exclusive events and packages, and I am proud to put my name behind them," said D.C. Crenshaw. "They deliver the best Chicago nightlife has to offer at a solid price, and smart partiers should check out what they're doing to find the hippest, most exciting local events."
In addition to offering users the best options for an unforgettable night out, Poggled also provides affordable party planning services, creating custom birthday, bachelor, bachelorette and corporate party packages. In 2009, Poggled launched as the first nightlife site of its kind. Since then it has saved users hundreds of thousands of dollars. With over 100 bar and club partners and tens of thousands of registered users, Poggled is a great way for users to save money while planning a great night out.
Poggled, the first place to go to plan the best night out, was founded in 2009 by Joe Matthews and Sean Strother, two high school friends who reconnected while in graduate school at Northwestern University. Funded by Lightbank and NEA, Poggled has been featured in Techcrunch, Mashable, Entrepreneur, and Fortune, as well as on NBC Chicago. Based out of Chicago, Poggled has expanded and is now available in Denver, Milwaukee, and New York City, in addition to its home market.
