Synapse's Customer Demand Driving Growth Into 2012
(firmenpresse) - HUNTSVILLE, AL -- (Marketwire) -- 02/02/12 -- Synapse Wireless® announced today the appointment of Brent Dix as Vice President of Engineering. Since its inception, Synapse has constantly focused on strengthening its technical talent to meet the engineering requirements of its growing customer base. Synapse has experienced a five-fold increase in its user base for SNAP®, the award-winning, wireless network operating system for connecting machines to each other and to the Internet.
Mr. Dix brings to Synapse a history of developing leading-edge products as well as proven engineering experience from Sirenza Microdevices, Scientific Atlanta and Netpulse Media Networks. He is known for having developed the world's first single chip, 5.8GHz ISM band transceiver. He has also developed a high performance, 108Mb/s, 802.11a WLAN chipset including an ARM-9 based baseband chip and a dual channel 5.2 GHz radio chip.

Brent holds a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University. His experience has touched on a wide range of industries, including semiconductors, digital video, military, aerospace and consumer electronics.
