Successful Start for the Mega Poker Series 2012
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 01/30/12 -- The inaugural Main Event of the Mega Poker Series powered by Poker770 took place from January 19th to January 22nd at the Montesino in Vienna, Austria. With a Buy-In of only 770 EUR and various live and online qualifiers available, the extremely deep structure of 77,000 Chips starting stack and blind levels that last 77 minutes gives players the opportunity to show their skills at the poker tables.
A total of 390 runners generated a prize pool of 273,000 EUR and the top 60 spots were paid, with additional incentives for all online qualifiers and VIP players. There were bounties available on all Team 770 Pros, yet none of the eligible participants scored a knock-out to ensure a token for the next Online Final of the (Mega Poker Series).
When the bubble burst in the second level of Day 3, everyone was guaranteed at least 1,110 EUR tournament continued until the end of Level 24. The last three Team 770 Pros were eliminated in the top 21, yet the mission to determine all participants of the Final Table had to be postponed until the next day since the remaining 10 players bagged in their Chips.
The action on Day 4 was fast paced and Hungarian Csaba Bago took over the Chiplead with 4 players left, once Josep Maria Galindo Lopez was eliminated in 4th place the remaining participants went into a short break and agreed to a chip count deal once they returned to the table. With four additional Side Events available, the schedule over the four days was filled with non-stop action.
