Transfer Window Betting Update from Sky Bet: Samba Set for Ewood Exit?

ID: 1076877

(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 01/26/12 -- Sky Bet are preparing for an exciting climax to their January markets as deadline day draws nearer.

Blackburn captain Chris Samba has been at the centre of a prolonged saga in which he has handed in a transfer request which was turned down, but the online betting company has still seen a steady stream of money for the Congo international to leave Ewood Park.

The 27-year-old is 11/4 (from 5/1) to be reunited with former boss Mark Hughes at QPR, 6/1 to move to Tottenham and 25/1 to seal a move to injury-stricken Arsenal.

The Hoops have been linked to a number of players and are 6/1 to bag out-of-favour Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge and 16/1 to buy in-demand Rangers forward Nikica Jelavic.

Another long-running saga that shows no sign of concluding is Carlos Tevez's protracted move away from the Etihad Stadium.

City outcast Tevez has not featured for Roberto Mancini's men since allegedly refusing to make a substitute appearance against Bayern Munich and is 11/8 to move to AC Milan, 10/1 to join PSG and 11/1 to switch to Inter Milan.

Elsewhere, Sky Bet have markets for key transfer targets including Eden Hazard, Daniele de Rossi, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Nicky Maynard and Ravel Morrison.

Sky Bet PR Director Dale Tempest said: "This transfer window has not seen much significant activity so far, but there are always late deals and some managers will be looking to strengthen right up until the deadline.

"Money may not be an object for Manchester City, but they will be keen to sell Carlos Tevez and put the whole saga behind them."
