Portland Family Chiropractor Announces 'Giving Never Felt So Good' Community Outreach Program
(firmenpresse) - PORTLAND, OR -- (Marketwire) -- 01/26/12 -- Health Touch Chiropractic announced that each year, the practice sponsors a "Giving Never Felt So Good" community outreach campaign. For the last five years, the practice has collected clothing and blankets for the Portland Rescue Mission. Since 2009, Home Street Bank has also worked closely with Health Touch to support the practice's clothing drive. In 2011, the clothing drive resulted in more than ten, 30-gallon trash bags filled with clothing and blankets from local donors.
Dr. Larry Lubcke announced that his practice sponsored the successful "Giving Never Felt So Good" campaign to collect blankets, coats, scarves, gloves and winter clothing essentials for those in need. Health Touch Chiropractic worked in partnership with the Portland Rescue Mission and Home Street Bank.

In 2006, the practice founded the "Giving Never Felt So Good" campaign, a clothing drive to support the Portland Rescue Mission. With each year, the outreach program has continued to grow, helping those in need.
Patients and local residents could donate new or gently used blankets and cold weather clothing at the wellness center or Home Street Bank.
Dr. Joshua Bray emphasized that the clothing drive's success was truly due to an overwhelming response from the community.
"We want to thank everyone in the community who joined with us in supporting this good cause," said Dr. Bray. "Sadly, every winter thousands of local families are without essentials like coats, gloves and blankets. This year, our entire community came together to help those in need, and our wellness center is truly honored to have played a part in this worthy cause."
In addition to the "" campaign, the practice is active in the local community, working with the Tigard police services to collect new or lightly used bike helmets as part of the "" campaign to protect children from brain injuries while bike riding.
"Non-fatal brain injuries cause lasting trauma to the brain," said Dr. Lubcke. "Wearing a helmet not only saves lives, but also prevents serious brain damage."
The practice also sponsors wellness workshops at offices, malls and community events. These workshops include spinal screenings to raise awareness about restoring health, natural pain management and proper spinal alignment.
