Megaprint.com and Toby Keith Restaurant Collaborate on Giant Guitar Feature
(firmenpresse) - PLYMOUTH, NH -- (Marketwire) -- 01/18/12 -- The large format printing specialist and custom wallpaper creator Megaprint Inc. () has produced a custom American-flag themed wallpaper for a guitar-shaped ceiling feature in Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill restaurant which is opening soon in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The ceiling feature is shaped like a guitar and mirrors a guitar shaped bar on the floor. On the ceiling, the guitar is on two levels and is over 80 feet by 30 feet in size.
Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill restaurant chain is a rapidly expanding chain of restaurants that the country singer is currently developing across the country, all of which have the signatory American flag graphic over the enormous bar area. Josh Wedge of Baldinger Design Studios in Phoenix designed the flag graphics.
The wallpaper for this giant guitar feature was printed on a UV flatbed printer and consists of 21 four-foot wide sections. These sections were printed with markings that were used in conjunction with laser alignment equipment on site to assure perfect alignment of the design onto the acoustic guitar feature created in drywall.
The design team at Megaprint.com communicated closely with the installation team to ensure the wallpaper would be easy to install. "We wanted to solve the problems of aligning something this size before the material was produced," according to Jay Buckley, owner of MegaPrint Inc. This close relationship and careful planning resulted in an installation accurate to within 1/4" over the 80 foot length of the guitar.
