(firmenpresse) - BEIJING -- (Marketwire) -- 01/18/12 -- Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China) -- In 2011, China's accumulative social power consumption reached 4.69 trillion kilowatt-hours (kWh), an increase of 11.7% year over year.
Power consumption in the primary industries (agriculture, livestock husbandry, forestry, fisheries, etc.) reached 101.5 billion kWh, an increase of 3.9%. Power consumption in the second industries (manufacturing, water and electricity production, etc.) reached 3.52 trillion kWh, an increase of 11.9%. That of the tertiary industries (services, insurance, hotels, etc.) reached 508.2 billion kWh, an increase of 13.5%. Power consumption of households and of urban and township residents reached 564.6 billion kWh, up 10.8% year over year, according to the National Energy Administration.
