HPEV Takes Delivery of Initial Conversion Vehicle
(firmenpresse) - LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwire) -- 01/11/12 -- In December, HPEV, Inc. (OTCQB: BIBB) (PINKSHEETS: BIBB) took delivery of a one ton 2012 Ford 350 dually truck that will be converted into a plug-in, hybrid electric vehicle. The conversion relies of propriety HPEV technology which should increase operating efficiency, reduce maintenance costs and gas usage.
Central to the conversion is the installation of the company's patent-pending, electric load assist which should enable the truck to deliver -- under full load, full passenger and a full-duty cycle -- 30 miles per gallon. In addition, the vehicle should be able to drive close to 60 miles under full load conditions in all-electric mode.
"HPEV technology enables the conversion of any vehicle into a plug-in hybrid," said Tim Hassett, Chairman and engineer with over 30 years of related experience. "The brand and size are irrelevant. Our platform remains the same no matter what the make and it's scalable all the way up to a Class 4 truck. Fleet operators like FedEx, UPS, USPS and even the US military could all benefit."
