AppCarousel Announces App Store Licensing Agreement With Myriad
(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/05/12 -- AppCarousel today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Myriad Group AG (SIX: MYRN), the company powering billions of rich mobile social and web experiences on any connected device, to provide app merchandising and app store services integrated into Myriad's Alien Vue solution for TV service providers.
Myriad Alien Vue, powered by Myriad Alien Dalvik technology, enables Internet access via TV allowing Android apps to run alongside existing television functions, in a unified user experience. It is a complete end-to-end solution that enables TV service providers to add apps to their existing managed service offerings in order to respond to new over-the-top content distribution services from Apple, Google and others.
The AppCarousel platform enables organizations to showcase the apps and content they care about to their audience, and also easily deliver and bill that content to their end-users. AppCarousel is providing Myriad Alien Vue the app store and app showcasing platform that can be fully branded for service providers including app hosting, delivery and billing.
