The newly promoted partners add leadership depth to several practice groups including mergers and acquisitions, securities and banking, immigration, commercial real estate, corporate, and healthcare.

is a veteran litigator based in Waller Lansden's Birmingham office specializing in the areas of trial and appellate litigation, complex commercial litigation, and white collar criminal defense. Athanas joined Waller Lansden in 2009 as of counsel after serving as assistant U.S. attorney in the Northern District of Alabama. He also previously served as federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington D.C. where he investigated and prosecuted financial fraud and public corruption crimes. Athanas received his B.S. from the University of New Hampshire and graduated from Suffolk University Law School. He currently serves as chairman of the Alabama Bar Association, International Law Section.
works with clients in the healthcare industry concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate law. He joined Waller Lansden in 2004 as an associate. Bowman completed his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and received his J.D. from the University of Tennessee. Bowman also is a member of the Tennessee and American Bar Associations.
represents clients in the healthcare, real estate, banking and manufacturing industries focusing on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate law. Joining Waller Lansden as an associate in 2004, he represented an India-based pharmaceutical company in the acquisition of two U.S. manufacturing and distributing companies of anesthetic products. He is a graduate of Belmont University and received his law degree from Emory University School of Law. Clay currently serves as a member of Belmont University's Alumni Board and is a Nashville Emerging Leaders alumnus.
leads the firm's immigration practice focusing exclusively on immigration law and labor and employment issues across all industries. Before joining Waller Lansden in 2009, Duong was a senior associate with Troutman Sanders, LLP in Atlanta. He earned his B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and received his J.D. from the American University, Washington College of Law. Duong is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Nashville Council of Health Care Attorneys. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
represents clients in the commercial real estate industry handling issues including acquisitions, retail and restaurant leasing and development, commercial lending, financing, and healthcare. A member of the Nashville, Ohio and American Bar Associations, Fisher recently assisted in the negotiation of more than 200 lease sites across the country for a publicly traded retailer. Before joining Waller Lansden as an associate in 2003, she was with Cincinnati-based law firm Dinsmore & Shohl. Fisher received her B.S. from Tennessee Technological University and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She serves as a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Retail Tenants Association and Women in Commercial Real Estate Nashville.

He represents clients with an emphasis on multifamily, office, industrial and healthcare properties. Head received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law. He serves as a member of the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations, the National Multi-housing Council and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.

Hubbard joined Waller Lansden in 2006 as an associate and was named a "Rising Star" by Mid-South Super Lawyers in 2010 and 2011 and chosen as one of Nashville's Top "30 Under 30" in 2010. Prior to joining Waller Lansden, Hubbard was an associate with Hall Booth Smith & Slover, P. C. in Nashville. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville and received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University. Hubbard is a member of the Tennessee and American Bar Associations.

During her tenure, Kelley assisted in the formation of a hospice company through a $50 million facilities acquisition. She graduated with a B.S. in business management from Lipscomb University and received her J. D. from Vanderbilt University, where she served as Vice President of the Business Law Society. Kelley also is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations.

A frequent speaker and panelist at financial services industry conferences, Kidd recently addressed the Alabama Banking Law Conference on Expansion and was a panelist at the ETA Annual Meeting and Exposition. Kidd earned his B.B.A in finance, B.S. in business economics and J.D. from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and serves as vice chairman on the ETA Government Relations Committee.

Leach received his B.A. in economics and his J. D. from Vanderbilt University, where he was managing editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment Law & Practice.
