Digirad Names Sarah L. Hanssen Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Business Development
(firmenpresse) - POWAY, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/04/12 -- Digirad Corporation (NASDAQ: DRAD) today announced that Sarah L. Hanssen has been named Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Business Development, effective December 31, 2011. Hanssen reports directly to Chief Executive Officer Todd P. Clyde.
Hanssen, 48, a resident of San Diego, has more than 15 years of experience in driving growth via strategic marketing, business integration, operations and business development for global, publicly-traded healthcare companies. Throughout her career she has created and led commercial organizations, as well as managed a wide variety of channel, product and retail marketing teams. Her broad commercial expertise includes product evolution strategy and development, entry into new markets, managing licensing and partnership relationships and product marketing leadership.
"Sarah has a proven expertise in strategic planning, product development and rapid expansion into new markets," Clyde said. Hanssen worked for Amylin Pharmaceuticals from 2007 to 2011 where she held a number of commercial executive roles and ultimately became Vice President, Business Integration. In that role, she led a team that managed and integrated an overall portfolio of business partnerships, and helped implement Amylin's globally networked business model.
Prior to that, from 1995 to 2007, Hanssen worked for Roche Diagnostics Corporation's Diabetes Care Division, where she held various marketing and management roles. From 2003 to 2007, she was General Manager and Vice President of Disetronic Medical Systems, North America, a Roche subsidiary.
Hanssen has a Bachelor of Arts degree in quantitative management from Boise State University and an MBA in marketing management from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
