Orange County-Based Ed-Tech Company Supports Fairmont's Expansion Into Asian Markets

While Chinese schools are known for driving students to succeed, they've thus far lagged in providing hybrid education, personalizing curricula, employing 21st-century techniques in place of drills and memorization and reliably engaging students -- innovations the Chinese market is beginning to demand. Fairmont's international expansion focuses on two primary products: Joint Diploma Programs that prepare foreign-born students to successfully transition to higher education in Western countries and Thesys International's EPL courses that support students' proficiency in academic language, picking up where ESL courses leave off with basic conversational English.
Zhou has been named the company's Business Development Manager in China. He is charged with advancing Chinese adoption of Fairmont and Thesys' programs -- a task made easier by his own Chinese heritage and vast understanding of what it will take to forge solid partnerships between Chinese education leaders and Thesys' innovative programs. Zhou has spent more than a decade in the education industry, working in sales and marketing roles at private, international and statewide Chinese firms. He will work alongside John Barrier, Fairmont's Director of International Education who spearheads international sales for Fairmont and oversees Zhou's territory in China.
