HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS Launches World Class Entrepreneurship Program for Veterans
New Program to Assist Vets, Disabled Vets and Spouses of the Fallen Returning Home to Start a Business
(firmenpresse) - PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 12/29/11 -- HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides U.S. military veterans, disabled veterans and spouses of the fallen with the opportunity to own and operate a franchise business, is raising the bar of support in America for those service men and women returning home. The only charity of its kind, HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS will launch its first fully-integrated entrepreneurship program on Jan. 9, 2012, in Phoenix, to a select group of veterans who have the desire to become a franchise owner. The program was co-developed by Dr. Mikel Harry, co-founder of Six Sigma and founder of the Great Discovery, and Dr. Bill Bonnstetter, founder of Target Training International.
"Veterans enduring a recession with a tough economic outlook are far more likely to become unemployed than civilians, and few government programs exist to help them find jobs," said Charlton Rhoads, founder of HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS. "Through our advanced entrepreneurship program and extensive screening, we identify those individuals who have the best possible potential to succeed as a business owner. We then provide the necessary training, tools and stepping stones to help them along their journey. Our goal is to see them succeed."
Unlike other programs, HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS utilizes seven principles developed in conjunction with Dr. Harry and Dr. Bonnstetter. These seven principles are applied through the HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS program that provides a central location for entrepreneurship information, comprehensive personal assessment, business and franchise acquisition, business financing, personal mentorship and coaching, and much more.
"While small businesses are the primary driver of our economy, the overwhelming majority of startups fail in the first few years," stated Rhoads. "However, more than 70 percent of franchises are successful. We tapped into this market to create a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the men and women who proudly served our country at home and abroad."
HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS' practical and analytical approach identifies good candidates for the program and conducts a rigorous assessment process through its partner, Target Training International. After selecting the top recruits, HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS puts each veteran through a 21-step metric-driven process that identifies the franchise opportunity best suited for each individual.
Once the veteran is matched to a franchise and invited to the 180-day Professional Development Institute, HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS will acquire the individual's franchise for them. During the initial four weeks of training, the charity will also provide room and board and pay a stipend.
"The first four months are critical because we prepare the veteran for long-term success using values and goal setting," added Rhoads. "Once they receive the appropriate schooling from us, we then provide them with five to eight weeks of on-the-job training, working directly with their coach, who is present to help each veteran succeed in his or her established goals."
Upon completion of the 24-week program, the veteran will receive a certification and continue the process of building their franchises. The veteran will also start the process of paying back HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS, which will apply the money to the next round of veterans entering the program.
HEROES WITHOUT LIMITS is private and does not rely on federal or state government subsidies. Most of the organization's funding comes from individual and foundation donations, as well as corporate contributions. All contributions are tax deductible.
