AmericInn Hotels Honored With Department of Defense Award for Support of America's Military Troops

The "Seven Seals Award" was presented in a special event to Paul Kirwin, president and CEO of AmericInn, by Jim Sullivan, representing the Employer Support of The Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense. "AmericInn has developed an exemplary culture of military support that has inspired numerous programs benefiting our service members," he added. The "Seven Seals Award," which graphically features the official seals of the seven military services, is a prestigious award given for military support by ESGR.
"We are greatly honored to receive this recognition, but most importantly, grateful for the service of America's military troops," Kirwin said. "It is our hope that the ongoing AmericInn military support initiatives reflect the gratitude that we feel for their service," he added.
AmericInn has designated military support and patriotism as a central part of its overall culture, focusing on the theme "AmericInn Cares." During the past year the company launched several major initiatives including preparing and shipping thousands of care packages to military troops deployed overseas. These Care packages contain food treats, personal care items, clothing, games and donated gift merchandise.
In celebration of Veterans Day last month, AmericInn hotels around the country organized community events to prepare and ship Care packages, partnering in many locations with the national military support group Blue Star Mothers. AmericInn also offers a national discount on room rates to active duty and retired members of the military and their dependents. A military I.D. is also required at check-in.
ESGR is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972 whose mission is to develop and promote employer support of military service.
