David Caplan Joins Global Public Affairs
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/22/11 -- Global Public Affairs (Global) is pleased to announce former Ontario Cabinet Minister David Caplan as Vice Chairman of Global Public Affairs and the newest addition to the team, effective in the New Year. David Caplan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Global with a substantial and in-depth background in health care and public infrastructure.

Elected to Queen's Park in 1997, Caplan was appointed to several high ranking portfolios including; Deputy Government House Leader, Minister of Public Infrastructure Renewal, and Minister of Health and Long-Term Care during his 14 years as MPP for Don Valley East.

Alternative service delivery will be a prime focus for all jurisdictions given current fiscal constraints in this policy debate.
As Minister of Public Infrastructure Renewal, Caplan was responsible for leading the modernization of the province's infrastructure and planning for future population and economic growth. He released Ontario's first long-term infrastructure investment strategy called ReNew Ontario, which used a private financing model expanding and building new hospitals, schools, colleges and universities, and transit and transportation systems. Caplan was responsible for the Places to Grow Act, which allows for a better way of accommodating growth across the province through the development of growth plans.
