Impact-Alert Launches Sport-Tuned(TM) Impact Sensors for Hockey, Football and Alpine Helmets
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/21/11 -- Impact-Alert has produced the first non-electronic Sport-Tuned™ impact alerting device that is effective, easy to use and affordable. Athletes, parents, coaches and trainers finally have a direct measure of how hard an athlete has been hit. Impact-Alert in combination with signs and symptoms, memory function and balance testing will provide guidance in determining whether to seek medical attention and when diagnosed receive appropriate concussion treatment. Impact-Alert sensors, when applied to the back of a helmet, will turn RED when an impact exceeding the medium or high threshold typical for that sport is experienced.
"How hard have you been hit?" is a difficult question to answer. With the Impact-Alert (Alpine, Football, or Hockey) sensors attached to the helmet the user will now have a clear indication when a significant impact has been experienced. Impact-Alert is supplied with a Pocket SCAT2-inspired information tag (Sport Concussion Assessment Tool).
