will focus on building training and educational programs for the Peer Review program. "A real passion of mine is teaching," says Rinne. "I have searched for an opportunity where I can leverage my experience to build meaningful curriculum for accounting professionals. I am thrilled to be asked to serve on the Peer Review Board and Education and Communication Task Force."
Over 30,000 public accounting firms are enrolled in the AICPA Peer Review Program which requires a review of their firm every three years. Firms have peer reviews because of the public interest in quality of accounting, audit and attestation services provided by public accounting firms. Also most state boards of accountancy require licensees to undergo a peer review, which they may also call a compliance review, in order to practice in the state.
