Brian D. Murray Joins Precision Coating as Director of Operations
(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/19/11 -- Precision Coating, one of the largest medical device coating applicators in the world and a subsidiary of Katahdin Industries Inc., today announced that Brian D. Murray has been named director of operations, a newly created position within the company.
Based at Precision Coating's facilities in Dedham, Mass., and Boston, Murray will be responsible for leading Precision Coating's lean manufacturing program, organizational initiatives, and capacity and facility expansion projects. In this new role, he will also have management responsibility for all coating operations at the facilities.
With more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, Murray joins Precision Coating from Microline Surgical, a minimally invasive laparoscopic medical device company, where he served as senior director of operations.

Murray holds undergraduate degrees in mechanical and welding engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. He is in the process of completing his post-graduate work in business management with a focus on entrepreneurial studies within the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass.
